SKS Rehab and ROLTEC have merged and are now part of the Eqwal Group

Switzerland meets Denmark. SKS and the ROLTEC team are merging. After several years of intensive collaboration, they have decided to combine their strengths and join forces as SKS ROLTEC. Our shared goal is to further expand our position on the European power wheelchair market. Our ambition to offer high-end, individualized solutions for demanding needs remains unchanged. Above all, the merger promises to accelerate innovation — in short, to further develop technical know-how and solution-oriented capabilities.

“SKS Rehab and ROLTEC are a perfect match. We share the same values when it comes to quality, customisation, and meeting complex customer needs. I’m excited about strengthening our product range, solution expertise and market presence.”
Dennis Holmgaard – Operations Manager at SKS ROLTEC

At the same time, we’ve decided to join the Eqwal Group — a France-based, globally active organization renowned for its support of people with disabilities and its leadership in digital solutions and upper limb prosthetics.

“I expect SKS ROLTEC to accelerate innovation and significantly expand our product range to offer even better solutions to our customers. We’re fortunate to have Eqwal as an owner and active supporter of our vision.”
Daniel Roth – CEO of SKS ROLTEC

Eqwal also operates the Eqwal Foundation, which supports people with disabilities in underprivileged countries around the world. SKS ROLTEC is set to become the foundation of Eqwal’s future mobility initiatives.

“We’re excited to welcome SKS ROLTEC to Eqwal. This move reflects a key strategic ambition to offer our customers advanced mobility solutions. We are fully convinced of SKS ROLTEC’s potential and look forward to contributing to the growth of its market position.”
Jean-Pierre Mahe – CEO of Eqwal

Danish Excellence in User-Centered Innovation Since 1974

We have been crafting high-quality electric wheelchairs for both the domestic and international markets since 1974.

Over the decades, we have continuously enhanced our wheelchairs based on feedback and ideas from physiotherapists, occupational therapists, our dedicated employees, and, most importantly, the wheelchair users themselves. The capabilities expected of electric wheelchairs have expanded greatly with technological advancements. Today, our wheelchairs are far more complex and advanced than ever before. Despite this rapid evolution, our primary objective has been to maintain straightforward and user-friendly operation, ensuring that each wheelchair user feels secure and confident.

Our modular design approach to mechanical and electronic functions ensures that technicians and those with technical knowledge can easily repair the wheelchairs using user-friendly service manuals. Additionally, this design allows for customization of the chair’s functions to meet the specific needs of each individual user.
